Leedy 1946 8" x 14" Broadway snare drum

it's like the sawed-off shotgun of snare drums.

Well, actually, it's capable of subtle stuff too, so that's not really accurate. 

But an 8" snare, come on, you have to imagine that it somewhat bludgeons.
