In December of 2008, Kris Roe and I started recording the new Ataris album!

I am producing, engineering, mixing, and playing drums on this album,

I'll probably also do the normal rest of the junk I tend to do.

As of right now (2011), we have finished drums, bass, guitars and some vocals.  Kris will return in the summer to complete the album and it should be out by the fall.

People keep asking me what it sounds like.  Well, it kind of sounds like if the Ataris had kept making records like "So Long, Astoria" and had sort of progressed as naturally as most bands do (as opposed to the genre-bending previous album, "Welcome the Night").

just great, honest songwriting for a nice, honest rock album. 

I think old school Ataris fans will dig it.

Two songs were released on a 7" in 2010 but it sold out so fast that we didn't even get a copy.
