Genre-bending four-piece from Texas, mostly (some of the live in New Orleans but it's a bloody complicated story so don't worry about it).  It's sort of mathy but super melodic and catchy.  I don't know what to tell you, other than to listen to it.  You think the song is one thing, then it ends up being twelve other things.   In a good way, for once.

I produced, engineered and mixed this record mostly in 2007 (though it was started in 2006).  This was the first record I had to where I put it into Pro Tools after tape so I'd have mix automation.   I think it was a good idea.  You know how I like to pride myself on pushing bands to make better records than they think they can?  Well, this time it worked in reverse - the band pushed me into making a better record than I thought I could.

My mix session for this album was the last music to be made at the old Flying Blanket location.  I moved out a couple days later.

If you have a record label, by the way, you'd do well to put this out.  This is a very hard-working band.  And great music, too.  Great musicians, great folks.

I also love their disdain for the music industry.  I'm with you guys.
